Construction has begun on the 1,100-foot-tall deck, which can boast the fifth tallest in the world. As the New York City skyline adds this new addition right in the heart of the Hudson Yards overlooking the Hudson River. The deck is located at 30 Hudson Yards designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and will extend 65 feet away from the building. There will be a window on the floor that will allow visitors to look down on the NYC skyline, so if you are afraid of heights this will test your limits. When it is finished next year, it will be the second-tallest office building just behind One World Trade.

The 90-floor building will offer offices, a restaurant, a bar, an event space, shops, DNB Bank, Time Warner Inc., and Wells Fargo.

The deck will be made up of 15 pieces of steel and glass, each weighing approximately 35,000 to 102,000 pounds. Assembled in Italy, they were brought to the city by ferry.
