5 Gorgeous New York Landmarks You Must See On Your Next Visit

If you haven’t yet visited the personality and beauty filled New York you are certainly missing out. This is yet another place known worldwide for its rambunctious melting pot of cultures, people, architecture, and world changing social movements. New York is a place filled with so many things to do that it’s hard to know where to begin.

There is definitely something for every visitor imaginable and there is hardly any time for a dull moment. Now, while there are tons of New York things to see and do, there are definitely highlights you shouldn’t miss on your next visit to The Big Apple. To help guide you on your next travel adventures these are the five must- see places around New York you shouldn’t miss.

The Brooklyn Bridge

If you’re into architecture and engineering, the Brooklyn Bridge is most definitely a site for you. And contrary to popular belief, it isn’t only for cars. The bridge spans a couple of miles and has a separate area for tourists and locals to stroll through while they take in the awesome sites.

Some of these include the great Statue of Liberty and a glimpse of Manhattan. Cyclists and walkers both can enjoy a scenic stroll through the Brooklyn Bridge, especially if you’d like to stretch your legs a bit and get a splending workout in.

Now, after walking the Brooklyn Bridge, depending on which direction you take, you can end up at our next stop, Times Square, in Manhattan.

Times Square

It’s been featured in countless movies and TV shows, and it is one of the most globally recognized places ever. Time Square is a site for sore eyes, especially at night.

Did you know, Times Square used to go by the name ‘Longacre Square’? It has since been changed and is now house to some of the most iconic places, brands, and landmarks around. It’s no wonder they have a huge gathering every New Year’s Eve to watch the ball drop.

In Times Square, you can find anything from freestyle performers, to the NASDAQ stock market sign, to street vendors with the latest foods and merchandise. It’s definitely an experience to take in.

Central Park

Central Park

A more outdoorsy and nature filled option right in the middle of New York is Central Park, yet another important landmark to visit and enjoy. Central Park has been an important and prominent historical landmark since the 60’s and formerly known as Seneca Village. It is without a doubt one of the most famous places to visit in the city.

Depending on the season, you can do everything from skating, biking, to even ice skating and jogging if you’re up for it. It spans across several acres, so there is no chance of boredom since you’ll likely not be able to see it all in one day (or even two).

One World Observatory

There is absolutely no better place to visit if you’re trying to take in a full blown 360 degree view of New York than the One World Observatory. It’s stationed atop the One World Trade Center on the 100th floor of the building and once you reach the top, you can stay as long as you like and take in views spanning more than 50 miles away through the floor to ceiling windows.

Naturally, being atop the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, you’re bound to see some breathtaking views. On the way to the top, there are all kinds of dining areas and activities you can partake in if you choose to do so. But, getting a ticket to travel up and see the view alone is well worth it.

Rockefeller Center

If you’re looking for a place to shop and have fun in, especially if it’s a family trip, then Rockefeller Center is the place to go. What exactly is there to do at the Rockefeller Center?

Well, you can ice skate, shop at the lego store, look at the magnificent murals, look through famous designer brands, and shop at pop up stores that are available depending on the season. Besides eating and shopping, it’s pretty clear sightseeing is one of the must-do activities in New York. Luckily routes like TopView New York City help facilitate that for anyone interested in getting the most out of their New York experience.

There Is Much More To See And Do

There are countless beautiful places to visit around the city of New York, and though this list marks the top five, in a lot of ways it doesn’t do it justice in the diversity of places to experience. You can always check out guides to help you navigate the city better. If there is ever an eclectic and fun filled trip you’d like to go on whether alone, or with family and friends, then New York might just be your perfect fit.
