Car Crash In Times Square Kills Teen and Injures 22 More

Just before noon this afternoon, 18-year-old  Alyssa Elsman a Michigan tourist,was killed and at least 22 people were injured when a speeding 2009 Honda Accord mowed down pedestrians in Times Square. Her 13-year-old sister has been taken to hospital.

The culprit was 26-year-old Richard Rojas of the Bronx. Rojas, has been arrested twice in the past for drunken driving stated  New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill. Before striking the car was “out of control.

There is no indication it was an act of terrorism, said New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio who rushed to the scene. President Donald Trump, home at Trump Tower is one mile from the crash scene, is aware of the incident and will be updated, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer tweeted.
