Countdown to Christmas: Let There Be Light

Countdown to Christmas: Let There Be Light

Thumbprint Artifacts

Every year people panic to find the perfect gift. We at T2C have been collecting idea’s all year long to bring you the perfect gift guide at all price levels. When you’re at the end of your rope trying to find the perfect Christmas present this year, come to this guide for some great suggestions.

Thumbprint Artifacts offers distinctive handcrafted items from South Africa while helping to empower the artisans to care for themselves, their families, and build self-respect. It was conceived in 2012 by life-long friends Becky Riess and Kris Engle, when they decided it was time for a new chapter. Becky was a successful corporate America, while Kris moved overseas following an entrepreneurial lifestyle that took her to the UK, India, and South Africa. They combined our joint experiences to support fair trade artisans in areas most effected by unemployment. This support translates into empowerment that helps the artisans care for themselves, their families, and their communities.

“People here, they don’t want to beg. They don’t want something for nothing. They want to be able to provide for themselves,” Kris says. Each handcrafted item is its own piece of art!

Kris lives in South Africa, a country suffering from etremely  high unemployment and therefore the best place to start.

Here are our picks for days 3, 4, and 5.
