Ellen Burstyn Asks a Citizen-Wide Gathering To Unite Uplift And Inspire

Cultural shapers are asked to join a citizen-wide gathering designed to unite, uplift and inspire. Inclusivity sits at the heart of the intention and message for the day. “Indeed, this is a complex and challenging time filled with uncertainty and change. Perhaps you’re like me and asking yourself “What can I do?” asks Ellen Burstyn. “I believe this moment is calling all of us to embrace our full purpose, passion and potential individually as well as a community.”

The event is free with suggested donation to Planned Parenthood. ADA compliant venue; programming appropriate for all ages.

Programming includes host and emcee Ellen Burstyn delivering poetry and spoken word, “Mad World” musician Gary Jules, singer/songwriter Leah Siegel of Leisure Cruise, Latino / World Music Singer, Songwriter and Folklorist Irka Mateo, vocalist Vienna D’Amato Hall, Persian writer and actor Iraj Anvar, Hebrew Tabernacle’s Rabbi Gale, movement leader Emily Devine, United Palace Band and Ensemble Choir with United Palace President Xavier Eikerenkoetter, artist Layercake, sound bath by Sara Auster, cellist Gabriel RoyalAmerican Idol’Anwar RobinsonStephen Adly GuirgisTobias Gebb Trio with SNL sax player Ron Blake, Coyote Love jazz band, Craig “Mums” Grant, Florencia Lozano, Tahitian dancing by Ori Manea, Creek Indian storyteller and flutist Frank Menusan and more. Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. Currently she has a screenplay in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
