First Annual Golden Tier Awards Sweeten the Weekend

This Saturday at iPic Theater, American Cake Decorating Magazine and New York Cake Show founder Lisa Mansour hosted the First Annual Golden Tier Awards to roaring applause.


The incredible evening was full of delicious food, enchanting drinks and award-winners and nominees dancing the night away at the downtown hotpot.

Crowned the first American-hosted, international awards show of its kind, the ceremony recognized the fabulous achievements of the best designers in the dessert world.

Master Chocolatier Award – Gerhard Petzl

Rising Star Award – Laura Saporiti

American Cake Decorating People’s Choice – Isabel Tamargo

Wedding Cake of the Year – The Mischief Maker Alex Narramore

Bakery of the Year, Ruze Cake House in Scottsdale Arizona

Albert Kumin Educator of the Year Award – Nicholas Lodge

Collaboration Award – Azzurra Cuomo

Product of the Year – Laped Italia Daisy Paste

Literary Award – Ceri Griffiths

Best Dessert Blog of the Year – Suzanne Brady

The Lisa Mansour Lifetime Achievement Award, Eddie Spence M.B.E

Spence Award for Excellence in Royal Icing, Manuela Taddeo


The event was hosted by Lisa Mansour, who is an award-winning expert in cake decoration, and is co-founder and co-owner of NY Cake & Baking Supply. She is also head of the NY Cake Academy, where she frequently teaches classes, and provides content for instructional videos. Additionally, she manages a number of retail, online and wholesale businesses for cake decorating products and tools.
