FREE performance of Elizabeth Swados’ Runaways

You’re invited to The Public Theater’s FREE performance of Elizabeth Swados’ Runaways a landmark musical about the stories, fears, and fantasies of runaway children. Channeling the energy of today’s New York, Runaways brings to life the story of young people searching to find themselves. This much-celebrated show has gone on to become a pillar of the musical theater canon and inspired a generation of musical theater creators, including Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, In the Heights), Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home, Caroline or Change), Michael Friedman (Fortress of Solitude, Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson), and many other Public Theater artists.
