Get Ready for Diner En Blanc

The pop-up culinary phenomenon Dîner en Blanc will return to New York on August 22 for a seventh year in a row. Over 5000 guests dressed in white will gather at a fabulous secret location to dine and dance under the stars. Four-time James Beard winner Todd English will return to curate special menus for guests who order online.

The legendary French-inspired secret pop-up dinner has become a prime culinary event of the year in cities around the world, bringing together food lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and fashionistas at a secret locale. A worldwide phenomenon, this year over 120,000 people in 79 cities in 28 countries will be attending.

Each event sells out, and many have huge wait lists, including New York which has exceeded 45,000 people. Kenwood Vineyards will provide the wine for the event and Evian Badoit the water.

Phase One Registration starts Monday August 7.

Launched in Paris in 1988 by François Pasquier and a handful of friends, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon. Le Dîner en Blanc – Paris now attracts over 10,000 people each year. What was a “friends and word-of-mouth only” event has grown into an international sensation celebrated on six continents. While the technology behind the event may have changed over the years, the principles fuelling this magical event have not: guests continue to gather at a secret location for the sole purpose of sharing a gourmet meal with good friends in one of their city’s most beautiful public spaces. Dîner en Blanc International is responsible for developing this secret posh picnic in 79 cities in 28 countries around the world. Each event is headed by passionate local organizers who fell in love with the concept and wanted to bring it to their city, giving this rendezvous a local flair.
