During the 70’s Erin Moran, won our hearts as the smart ass teenager Joanie Cunningham on Happy Days. Moran began acting in TV and movies at 5. Her first big break came in a commercial for First Federal Bank. At just 12 she was cast as Richie Cunningham little sister. Happy Days began in 1974 and in 1982 she starred in the short-lived spinoff Joanie Loves Chachi, alongside Scott Baio. Moran’s career at 22, was basically over with the exception of several TV guest spots, and an appearance in the 2007 independent comedy feature Not Another B Movie. In 2008, she was a contestant on VH1’s reality show Celebrity Fit Club.

Moran was found lifeless in Indiana around 4pm Saturday. She was 56. Times had been hard on Moran who lived in a trailer park in New Salisbury, Indiana, and is suspected of a heroin overdose. Her downward spiral was noticeable starting around September 2012, when she was photographed looking worse for wear outside a Holiday Inn in Corydon, Indiana, after reportedly being kicked out of the trailer she shared with her husband Steve Fleischmann.  Erin was told to leave the trailer by her husbands mother, who was tired of her alcohol and drug use.
