It’s officially summer in New York City when the past comes back to the sun-drenched grassy knolls of Governor’s Island for the beloved annual Jazz Age Lawn Party.
For the twelfth year, the roaring party has hit the shores of the island for the largest gathering of its kind. Started as a small gathering in 2005, this special event attracts thousands of time travelers each year, who come together to discover the music and zeitgeist of the 1920s.
Jazz Age Lawn Party offers a creative chance to relive a unique era in American history.
As New York treasure Bill Cunningham once stated, “I can’t think of a more delightful way to spend a weekend in the city.”
Hosted and conceived by the exceptional Michael Arenella, the two weekends in the summer are the stuff of magical legends.
The musician and his fantastic band the Dreamland Orchestra lead up the daylong festivities, which include dance lessons, picnicking, sipping rose wine and delicious cocktails, photo snaps, shopping and simply enjoying the company of great friends and family.
Highlighted sponsor of the event in the VIP lounge includes VieVité, which is a unique and luxurious expression of a Côtes de Provence rosé wine. VieVité offers a fresh and delicate aroma of cherries and strawberries, with notes of spices to create a satisfying sensation on the palate.
Other wonderful sponsors listed are Bootlegger 21 NY Distilleries, LEJAY, Selters, Belvoir Fruit Farms, La Mère Poulard Biscuits, The Jewish Museum, Proraso, Rouge Salon, Triumph Hotels, Jax Coco, Earth Matter, Lucey’s Lounge, and Cocktail Crate.
