Join the Circus with The Muse Brooklyn, home of ABCirque, Wednesdays in July from 4-6pm at the Broadway Plaza between 43rd and 44th Streets. This Brooklyn-based contemporary circus company brings their non-traditional circus shows to Times Square in the form of small-scale street performances that will delight audiences at the Crossroads of the World. Rose Bonjo: Hoops
Cassady Rose Bonjo is currently based in New York City. She is known for her work as a multi-disciplinary circus artist with an innovative point of view and a captivating presence on stage. Butch & Buttercup: Acro Duo
Angela Buccinni Butch and Yoni Kallai – also known as Butch & Buttercup – met at the first Israeli acrobatics convention in 2011. In 2012 they started teaching and performing together based out of The Muse Brooklyn in NYC. They believe in training well with a focus on solid technique but always through a sense of play for all ages and skill levels. Between the two of them they have performed on stages all over the world with over 1,000,000 spectators, served in the military for 5 years, have 3 dogs, been a peace activist, lived for 63 years and do their best to make the world better for all.
Chris Delgado: German Wheel
Angela Chris Delgado has been teaching and performing German Wheel around the world for over 9 year. Trained by 8-time World Champion Wolfgang Gientzle, Chris has a very technical German Wheel background. Chris’ years of physical theater training from companies such as Pilobolus paired with a degree from Dell’Arte School of Physical Theatre combine to create his unique performance style. Now living in NYC, Chris divides his time between solo performances, teaching classes and workshops, creating and touring his circus show “The Bizarre and Curious Quest of Killian Cog,” and working intimately with USA Wheel Gymnastics to spread the good word about German Wheel.
Chris McDaniel: Trick Rope
World Champion trick roper Chris McDaniel brings the charm of the Wild West everywhere he roams. This 2-time world record holder for bullwhips has used his special skills, comedy, and cowboy songs to wrangle up a great time for audiences across the US and internationally from Bali to Moscow. Chris is a frequent guest performer at 5-star resorts in Mexico, and in the showrooms of Carnival Cruise ships. The consummate showman has also been seen on CBS’ The Late Show With David Letterman, on NBC with Neil Patrick Harris and Reba McEntire on Best Time Ever and then again on Steve Harvey’s Little Big Shots: Forever Young. He’s done Broadway national tours of “Annie Get Your Gun” and “The Will Rogers Follies.” His original one man show “Ropes, Whips, and Songs About Cows” debuted to rave reviews Off Broadway. He has been named one of the top Wild West Arts entertainers in the world and his contributions to the variety arts won him the Historical Circus Society’s Candlelight Award.
Ayla Weisz: Cyr Wheel
Ayla is a Brooklyn based performer and production manager. Her onstage experience includes cyr wheel, contortion, and dance performed in immersive and site-specific environments as well as on traditional proscenium stages. In the last year she’s been honored to work with ABCirque, Only Child Aerial Theatre, and Atlas Circus Company.
