Legs Diamond 30th Anniversary Reunion Concert And You Are There

Sunday night, Feinstein’s/54 Below presented the Original Broadway cast of the Legs Diamond 30th Anniversary Reunion Concert. It was a  memorable evening hearing the backstage stories of this under appreciated musical. When the the musical originally opened in 1989 the critics tore it apart but the audience loved it. The star of the show Peter Allan  up beat disposition,  despite the critics, gave energy  to the cast to give it there all.  This resulted in a strong bond  formed among  the cast. Each cast member shared their journey from being cast to the final curtain  of this ill faded musical.. On two monitors next to the stage there was  a video presentation of musical numbers from the show and footage of  Julie Wilson recreating one her songs from the show.. Each performer is a diamond on to themselves and veterans of Broadway. with many credits between them. At the end of the evening there was a musical tribute to cast members that are no longer alive Including the legendary Julie Wilson.
