Madison Reed

Just last week Madison Reed opened a new Color Bar at 7 West 19th Street, with a staff of experienced “Color Crew” experts. With touch ups for $45. When I was invited to try this new establishment I was all for it. I have been coloring my hair since I was 16 and three months ago I bought a box that changed my hair from fab to grey. Trying to fix it I managed to get a brassy crown that I have not been able to get rid of. Now I had three weeks of growth.

Hideous Hair

Hideous Hair

Looking horrible with hair that was unmanageable.

Looking horrible with hair that was unmanageable.

It was the perfect call to receive as you can see. Using products created in Italy, under strict EU regulations, Madison Reed products  include permanent hair color free of ammonia, parabens, resorcinol, PPD, phthalates and gluten. Instead there are hair-loving nutrients including keratin, argan oil, and ginseng root extract to protect and pamper hair. I knew I was a disaster and it was confirmed when I got there, but after the loving care of their expert colorists who are there to answer all of your hair color questions from start to finish this is the final results.

I should have smiled or taken more pictures to choose from.

The best part is I attended the New York Pops and everyone told me how great I looked. Nobody asked if I had just done my hair. That is when you know this was a fabulous successful venture.

With open extended hours, including early mornings and late evenings, seven days a week the store is dedicated to providing clients with customized color and exceptional results that fit into their hectic lifestyles. The prices are also great. Touch up with Blow dry $80, Touch up with extreme gloss and blow out $115.00.

I haven’t even gotten into their wonderful nourishing, color protecting shampoo, creme rinse, frizz tamer and styling creme. The recent alone makes me want to use these products.

Thank-you Madison Reed Co-founder Sabrina Riddle and my fabulous colorist. I am now a huge fan at seeing how your hair color has fixed my problem hair coloring fiasco and to find out that it is gluten free has changed my life and my hair. I am so grateful to share your story and your wonderful salon. I will be ordering my hair color from you, from now on.
