There is a new “scientific discovery” waiting to be unearthed and unlocked at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square this summer. The world’s premier museum for strange, out-of-this-world artifacts announced today a new interactive, escape adventure coming to the crossroads of the world at the end of June called Ripley’s Relic.
Ripley’s Relic is a new interactive New York adventure that will transform visitors into explorers, working together to unlock a series of puzzles and decipher a strange assortment of scientific symbols that were recently discovered in Times Square. Featuring the latest in high tech components and top tier movie-quality set design, Ripley’s Relic will challenge adventurers to crack the code and unlock the powers of this new unexplained object.
This new adventure will transport relic seekers on a quest to solve this Ripley riddle. With a live guide accompanying visitors, the setting for the experience is an emitting light coming from a newly discovered cavern that’s only reachable by a mysterious elevator and can only be opened by solving a symbol wheel puzzle. Once inside the cavern, the search is on to solve another series of clues to discover Ripley’s Relic.
With the popularity of escape-themed puzzle attractions soaring from just a few dozen a few years to now more than several thousand worldwide, the market for those interactive experiences continues to grow. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square is the first attraction in New York City to bring an escape adventure as a separate attraction, a growing trend which Wicked Amusements LLC, the interactive adventure company building Ripley’s Relic, has recognized.

Ripley’s Relic will be a 15-minute, $15-per-person, experience that can accommodate up to ten people at a time, and includes a guide to help navigate the series of challenging puzzles. The adventure can be purchased in combination with the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square museum or as a standalone experience.
