Sweet Summer Moments at Surf City

Sweet Summer Moments at Surf City

After cold and gloomy days this year summer is finally here. With the warmth comes the hotness of one of the East Coast’s favorite hotspots opening again for the season.

Surf City (1 Marin Blvd. in Jersey City) is more than a restaurant. It is a ravishing representation of fantastic fun full of fabulous food and drinks. The waterfront vacation style venue sits in a magnificent location in the harbor with captivating views of Manhattan and Liberty Island. Both indoor and outdoor spaces hold hundreds of happy guests comfortably. The restaurant is described as having a Key West attitude with a New York latitude.

Afternoons and nights at Surf City are full of socializing and watching boats sail as you sip exotic fruity cocktails and chow down on delicious delights. Executive Chef and recent “Chopped” Champion Franco Robazetti has created several dishes for the season. There is a terrific raw bear featuring such delights as sushi tacos and poke bowls. He has also brought a new flair that is full of creative new tastes that will bring bliss to your day. An epic Lobster Mac & Cheese will have you singing, as well as other soulful creations. New to the menu is Louisiana inspiration such as crawfish platters, which balance perfectly at your table with the superb smiles of the staff.

There are also several favorites back on the menu for Summer 2018 including Crispy Calamari with cherry peppers served with chili marinara sauce; a Drunken Shrimp Bowl with shrimp cooked in a boil of beer, herbs and spices; Lobster Rolls on a toasted potato roll; and a wonderful Baja Burger covered in California style guacamole and Pepper Jack Cheese.

Surf City features a full bar, wine and a dedicated tropical frozen drink bar. Favorites include Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada, Miami Vice and Lava Flow. There are over 75 beers on tap with a rotating selection of European imports and U.S. Craft beers.

Seating is friendly with thirty-foot long community tables. There is sandy beachfront to soak your toes in, and on weekends live music plays on whimsical afternoons. Guests can arrive by car for the free parking or by PATH train. There is even a 400-foot dock on the water for boats to pull up to the heavenly venue.

And, just opened is a fantastic Adults Only beach lounge to sit back and drink, play games and shuffle board up over shots and sunsets. Everything about Surf City is meant to create a perfectly fun and fantastic escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is in essence what summer is all about.
