The Big Apple vs The City of Lights – Where to visit?

The Big Apple vs The City of Lights – Where to visit?

New York City and Las Vegas –  two of the most famous cities in the world, both with fascinating histories and endless options to keep you entertained and spend your money. But which one should you choose for your next vacation? The choice can be a tricky one so let’s dive right in and see what each city has to offer.

Las Vegas –  It would be crazy not to mention one of the main reasons people come to Las Vegas – the casinos! With a range of forty casinos along the Las Vegas Strip to choose from, this city is a haven if you’re feeling lucky. Hop over to the Bellagio for an awe-inspiring fountain show and begin your adventure in style. With so many 24-hour casinos boasting some of the best restaurants, clubs, and bars around, there’s always something to do no matter what the time of day.

New York City – Okay, so maybe New York is lacking on the casino front but you don’t need to travel all the way to Vegas for the casinos when you can play at home instead. For example, the online casino games website has traditional table games such as poker and blackjack, as well as slot machines based on pop culture phenomena like Game of Thrones and Brides Maids. With mobile support, you’re free to explore everything New York has to offer while playing. There is a reason New York is called the city that never sleeps; there is always something happening. Feeling peckish at 3am? Pick up a fresh slice from any of the 24-hour pizza places scattered throughout the city. There are so many places to party the night away so put on your dancing shoes and head over to House of Yes or The Bell House for a boogie.

Las Vegas – There are so many places to eat in Las Vegas that the choice can be almost impossible. For a unique nightclub-meets-Pan-Asian vibe, head on over to Andrea’s for a stylish and luxurious meal that will leave your taste buds tingling for more. Other Mama is a spot chefs and foodies adore and it serves fresh, raw seafood and delicious cocktails that critics rave about. It’s a place for you to expand your palette and enjoy some of the best food in the entire city.

The Odeon

New York – It’s difficult to even know where to begin when talking about food in New York; the city just has so much to offer. Grab one of the best pizza slices in the city at Joe’s New York Pizza, a place that has been operating for 42 years and is still going strong. The Odeon boasts a celebrity fan base and is one of the most famous eateries around. Known as the restaurant that defined the 80s, The Odeon serves French-American food which does not disappoint. For the veggie and vegans among us, check out Superiority Burger for an affordable and healthy take on an American classic.

Las Vegas – Las Vegas isn’t often thought of to be a cultural city but there are still plenty of places to visit if you want to satiate your cultural cravings. The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts holds an extensive collection of, well, fine arts. The venue has hosted many exhibitions over the years from a range of compelling and renowned artists, including the works of Claude Monet. The Arts Factory in downtown Las Vegas is a district packed with art galleries, bars and restaurants which play host to poetry readings, plays and concerts. This vibrant area will make you feel a million miles away from the bustle of Vegas and fulfil your cultural needs.

New York – Culture pumps through the very veins of New York and bleeds into almost every corner of the city. For modern art enthusiasts, go to the world-renowned Museum of Modern Arts (MoMA) for the rotating exhibitions all year round and be inspired by the work there. The American Museum of Natural History is one of the largest museums in the world where you can walk through history to learn about the world we live in. Finally, whether it be Hamilton, Book of Mormon, or Kinky Boots, you can’t leave NYC without seeing a show on Broadway.

Both of these cities have some amazing things to offer each and every one of their visitors. Vegas is the place to go for some gambling and it has some fantastic places to eat. However, New York City ticks all of the boxes with world class entertainment, some of the best food in the world, and a cultural scene that will blow your mind. So, what are you waiting for?
