The Wizard and I: The Stephen Schwartz Songbook Comes To New Jersey Performing Arts Center
On Saturday, October 28, 2017  6pm and 8:30pm, New Jersey Performing Arts Center will present The Wizard and I: The Stephen Schwartz Songbook an intimate evening of music written by the grammy and Oscar winning composer-lyricist behind some of the biggest hits on Broadway Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, Magic Show, as well as The Bakers Wife, Children of Eden and the big screen hits Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame and Enchanted.
The evening’s guest vocalists will include original stars of Paper Mill Playhouse’s  Children of Eden stars Kelli Rabke and Darius de Haas, who will lead a cast of Broadway regulars including Cats star Jessica Hendy. The Wizard and I: The Stephen Schwartz Songbook will go through Schwartz’s legendary songbook, including numbers like “Defying Gravity,” “Meadowlark,”  “Day by Day,” and many more.
The show will be presented in the Chase Room of NJPAC.

Magda Katz has been in the entertainment world for most of her life as a child actress, assistant to the head publicist of Avco Embassy Pictures, theatrical print agent. She went on to manage the show business career of her 2 children for over 15 years. For the last five years Magda has been filming and editing video trailers of live performances as well as celebrity interviews. Broadway After Dark was the first website to feature her video trailers. She contributed in creating a star studded 90th birthday party for Mickey Rooney at Feinstein’s at the Regency Hotel.
