UNIQLO Celebrates SUPERGEOMETRIC SPRZ Collection Inspired by MoMA

UNIQLO Celebrates SUPERGEOMETRIC SPRZ Collection Inspired by MoMA

Last night on Fifth Avenue a lively soiree ushered in a new hot collection.

UNIQLO unveiled SUPERGEOMETRIC, a newly expanded range of the brand’s SPRZ NY collection. Inspired by works in the collection of The MoMA, the fun line looks to some of the great masters of geometric form – Sol LeWitt, Josef Albers, François Morellet, Gego and designer Max Bill, as well as a younger generation of artists.

“MoMA is focused on helping a broad audience understand and enjoy the art of our time, and the partnership with UNIQLO supports that mission,” noted Ruth Shapiro, MoMA’s Retail Director of Sales and Business Development. “Products created by UNIQLO each season enable new audiences to engage with a variety of artists in our collection.”

Taryn Manning headed up the night with her roaring DJ set. Guests enjoyed delicious cocktails. Partying the night away were Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor, Waris Ahluwalia, artist Sigrid Calon, Christina Caradona, Preston Konrad, Christie Ferrari, Marcel Floruss, Rachel Martino, Kristin Gallegos, and Luanna Perez amongst others. Taryn, Atlanta, Waris, Christina, Preston, Luanna are all wearing UNIQLO SUPERGEOMETRIC.

The SUPERGEOMETRIC visual campaign embodies the clean and bold patterns from the collection by layering and merging the body, apparel, accessories and graphic artwork.

Paying homage to the artistic elements of line, shape and color, the signature SPRZ UT’s (UNIQLO T-shirts) are accompanied this season by a range of modern cut and sew jumpsuits, dresses, accessories and special editions, which celebrate the endless possibilities of simple geometric form.

The collection is now available at UNIQLO stores and UNIQLO.com.
