MAC Awards

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has just announced the 2016 MAC Award nominees and complete list of honorees for the 30th Annual MAC Awards. T2C would like to congratulate Carolyn Montgomery Forant (we love”The Mermaid and the Whale”), Eric Michael Gillett, Maxine Linehan, Karen Mason, Michelle Lee, Stacy Sullivan, Marin Mazzie, the ever adorable AnnaLeigh Ashford, Norm Lewis, Rebekah Lowin, Sean Harkness, Tom Hubbard, Matt Scharfglass, Tracy Stark, KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar. We have been following these artists and think each of them are winners. Congratulations to Maryann Lopinto, well deserved. We also love that Jamie deRoy is being honored for her fabulous show for the Actors Fund.

The awards presentation and show will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 7:30pm, at BB King Blues Club & Grill on 42nd Street in New York City.

At the March 29th show, MAC will present a Lifetime Achievement Award to Amanda McBroom, a Board of Director’s Award to Maryann Lopinto, the Hanson Award to Sally Darling, and the Ruth Kurtzman Benefit Award to Jamie deRoy and her new signature program, The Actors Fund: Jamie deRoy and Friends Cabaret Initiative.

The MAC Award winners will be announced live at the show, which will be directed by Lennie Watts, produced by Julie Miller, and feature musical direction by Matt Baker.

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. Currently she has a screenplay in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
