Nominations for the 71st annual Emmy Awards were announced Tuesday morning. “Game of Thrones” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” are the forerunners with 23 and 20 nominations a piece.

“72nd Annual Tony Awards” made it onto the list this year, as Thomas Kail for directing “Fosse/Verdon”.

Ken Jeong and D’Arcy Carden presented the nominations from the Saban Media Center in Los Angeles. The pair was joined by Television Academy chairman and CEO Frank Scherma.

The 2019 Emmy Awards will air on Fox September 22nd.
