This weekend a fantastic gala took place to celebrate the fall season and an impressive moment in fundraising. Hundreds of guests gathered at Cathedral of St. John the Divine for the 21st Annual October Ball.
“This is incredible night that brings the community together for a night of fun and important fundraising,” stated Trustee at East River Catholics, Katarina Novakova. “It is a wonderful way to spend the weekend. We are all dressed up, having a blast, and at the same time helping make a tremendous difference in lives.”
This year the beloved annual fundraiser moved uptown for a special gathering in the halls of the majestic landmark church. Guests were divinely dressed in gowns, regal tuxedos and adorning masks to celebrate the night that raises thousands of dollars for the Bigs & Littles NYC Mentoring program.
The fantastic soiree in Chapels of Tongues featured the lovely DJ Nicole Rose who kept the dancing going after a wonderful set by the lively January Jane.
For 21 years, The October Ball gala has attracted young professionals in Manhattan’s international social scene as the premier event empowering New York’s youth through mentorship programs. Over the years over $2.1 million and positively impacted the lives of thousands of children and families across the five boroughs.
