5 Natural Tips To Smell Good All The Time (The Natural Way)

How to Smell Good All Day the Natural and Non-Toxic Way

Deodorants or antiperspirants may keep you from sweating and getting stinky at the end of the day, but they do come with health risks. But because you need it to control odor and sweat under your arms, not using it is not an alternative.

But think about this:

  • Parabens in antiperspirant have been reported to increase breast cancer risk
  • It increases the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, what with Alzheimer’s brain cells showing higher than normal concentrations of the element, according to some studies.
  • Aluminum chloride in antiperspirants has been linked to kidney disease.
  • Patients who already have kidney problems are likely to develop dementia if they use antiperspirant aluminum chloride because their bodies can’t get rid of it fast enough.

Given the health risks, there’s no reason for you to continue using commercial deodorant or antiperspirant.

Switch to a natural alternative that doesn’t contain aluminum, baking soda, or parabens. Use this natural deodorant instead and your health will thank you for it.

In addition, you should find ways to smell good the natural way and always here is our guide:

How to smell good all day the natural way

Be mindful of what you put in your body

Just like you are what you eat, you also emit what you eat or drink. That is, what you put in your body could have an impact on how you smell.

And some foods and ingredients can cause you to emit off-putting smell.

According to a perfumer, eating spices, garlic, and onions may be good for your health, but the odor that comes out through your skin for up to 48 hours is bad for your nostrils or someone else’s.

Red meat can also affect your body’s natural order.

And when alcohol is processed through your pores, it releases sugar, a by-product that gives off a sickly and sweet odor.

The best option would be to eat lots of fresh food and clean protein.

Use essential oils

The various chemicals used in perfumes and other fragrances are known to disrupt hormones, causing an imbalance. More than just a major hormone disruptor, it is also a skin irritant, allergen, and asthmagen.

Suffice it to say that, smelling good using perfumes, is not good for your health.

Your best alternative would be to wear natural perfumes or essential oils. Those derived from whole sources such as roots, flowers, and tree resins, are your best options.

Not only do they make you smell good but also stimulate hormones and neurochemicals that balance and regulate the immune, endocrine, and nervous system.

Use natural deodorants

The harmful health effects of commercial deodorants listed above are explanation enough as to why you should switch to natural deodorant.

It’s normal to think that natural deodorants or antiperspirants don’t work, especially because the first few weeks upon using it could cause your pits to sweat a ton. The longer you use them, however, the less sweaty you are.

At some point, you can brave not using deodorant at all and not stink. Doing so will allow your body to reset and let your pits function naturally.

Keep your skin moisturized

Dry skin reduces the staying power of your natural fragrance. This is why you shouldkeep your skin moisturized

Since you want to avoid putting anything toxic in your body, look for moisturizers that are plant-based and preservative-free. Some products have essential components that mimic the natural skin barrier.

Drink more water

Drinking lots of water may mean sweating more, especially during the summer months, but this also means that bodily toxins are flushed out.

So those toxins that cause body odor will be removed through sweat and leave you to smell good naturally.

Drinking water also helps you stay hydrated, healthy, and moisturized. Remember the benefits of keeping your skin moisturized?

So, drink up and smell good.

Eat foods that are anti-inflammatory and detoxifying

If you want to improve your body odor, it is important that you stay hydrated and eat foods packed with nutrients. If your body achieves a healthy and anti-inflammatory state, this can help you get rid of body odor.

Not exactly convinced?

There are enzymes in the body that break down intestinal residue, so they reach an odorless state. If enzyme levels are low, you will smell something fishy. Literally.

Just remember not to overeat garlic, onion, turmeric, and other food items that will breathe out of your pores as body odor.

Most importantly, follow a healthy lifestyle.

If you don’t smoke, drink, or eat junk, you minimize the volume of toxins in your body that will cause body odor.

Coffee and alcohol can contribute to bad breath. Stress can pump up smelly body odor.

So live healthy and you should smell good always.
