5 Signs That You Need to Install an Air Purifier at Home

The air quality is getting worse with each passing day and to cope up with it and provide clean and safe air indoors, technology has come up with an appliance called air purifier. It was thought to be a luxury appliance a few years back, but the depleting air quality has turned it into a must-have appliance, especially in metros and large cities.

Installing an air purifier in your homes and offices gives you the confidence and contentment that you and your loved ones are breathing in clean and safe air. If you have not yet installed an air purifier, look for these signs and if you find anyone then seriously think of installing an air purifier at home.

Continuous Sneezing

Cold happens 2-3 times a year when season changes and lasts for 3-4 days, but if you are sneezing continuously then it could be an allergy. Dust, dirt, pollen and pet dander can make sneezing a regular phenomenon among those residing in a house. The kids and elderly are more prone to this allergic sneezing because of weak immune systems.

Lingering Smell of Varnish and Disinfectants

Harmful substances are released from carpeting, adhesives, disinfectants and varnishes. They linger on in the air and are harmful to health. Any good and advanced air purifier is capable of removing these VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Indoor Air Feels Stale and Stuffy

If, after entering from outside, you feel that the air inside your house feels stale or smells bad, then it means it is laden with many toxic particles that you can’t see but are breathing in. Having too many carpets also results in accumulating a lot of pollutants as they are notorious for trapping pollutants.

Suffering from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)

People suffering from COPD have sensitive airways and breathing in air laden with pollutants worsen their condition in no time. They may have problems in breathing and even allergies can pop up. If there’s a family member with COPD and you find that their condition is worsening even after taking all medications, then it’s a sure sign that you need to install an air purifier. This will help them breathe in clean and safe air free from dust, allergens, pollens, pet dander etc.

Started Snoring

If someone in your family has started snoring, then air pollutants could be a cause.  Allergens like pollen and pet dander, when inhaled with air, causes the airways to become congested and thus contribute to snoring.

If you find any of these signs, then understand that it’s time to invest in a good air purifier. The air purifier price varies based on the features, the type of filters and technology used in it, brand etc. You should always go for a branded product that uses the latest and proven technology with an inbuilt ionizer and HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter. This filter is capable of trapping all the pollutant particles from the surrounding air up to the size of 0.3 µm. Air purifiers using 3-stage filtration mechanism are the best bet to make the indoor air clean and safe for breathing.
