Last Friday was the last day of my coffee challenge. Ending with a loss of 6 pounds and 3 inches.
I am grateful to Xerveo for allowing me to take their coffee challenge and to experience their other supplements while I’ve been writing this series of articles, “90 Days to an Improved You”, a New Year’s piece. I wanted to see what I could do and in turn you could do in every area of our live in the first 90 days. This piece was not just about losing weight, but about focusing on all my current goals in the first quarter of the new year.
I started writing this article January 23rd. I started the Xerveo coffee challenge on February 1st. I had started to lose a couple of pounds in the weeks leading up to this, but on the coffee challenge I lost 6 pounds, and in total about 9 pounds. I also lost a total of of 3 1/2 inches. The loss was pretty much equal from hips waist and bust.
Thank you to my friend Mindii, “get fit with Mindii” Weinzapfel for being the voice I heard even when she wasn’t with me to “encourage” me to try harder, do more do better! Thank you love! You’re the best!
When I started, I had an insane travel schedule. I was picking up and going somewhere every other week, which added an extra layer of challenge to my plan. Xerveo’s supplements and Kimberly Snyder’s Beauty Detox lifestyle gave me the energy to deal with my rockstar-like schedule: plane trips, rigorous shooting schedules, finding the time to workout, construction, business, a social life, all of it! At the beginning of this challenge, I had lost a lot of strength and endurance due to injuries. I could no longer do a pushup. Today I’m doing pushups again. I haven’t reached the floor yet, but I’m half way there. In addition I discovered programs like Carrot that I could do from my phone, without any equipment, in any hotel room, anywhere, this has been a game-changer. My clothes fit better and I’ve started to get my sexy back!
My encounter with a hypnotist at the Harvard Club in Boston last week reminded me of the value of meditation and visualization to attain our goals. With relaxation through meditation, I was able to apply that using my attitude towards food. I stopped counting every calorie, because it was making me crazy. I took a chill. I just made sure breakfast was green juice, lunch and dinner a salad followed by one of Kimberly Snyder’s Beauty Detox recipes or one of my own. I feel good, my butt and thighs are firmer, thank you GGS and thank you Carrot! Next week, I go back to ballet!
Writing this series of articles, has encouraged me to keep focused and in a state of awareness. I learned valuable information about my eating patterns, what I eat, when I eat, why I eat, etc. I feel pleased with my progress thus far and although I wish I could’ve melted down to a waifish number and lost more pounds, I still lost weight, feel good and did not starve. Although my coffee challenge is over, I still have enough supplements and Xerveo “Motion” to last me through the end of my 90 day experience, leading up to my AHA Wall Street 5K on May 18th. I’m running again and I haven’t done that in a long time either. It feels fantastic!
On other fronts, gigantic steps were made professionally. New clients have emerged. I always enjoy working with people to help improve themselves. I help them become the best version of themselves. I also want to thank my superstar assistant Angelica Molina for all her help.
With the construction at home, I am finally seeing an end in site. The results are satisfying. My love life has gone to a new level and it feels great. I have come to a new level of understanding about myself and my life and I feel good about it. As always, My time and attention are spread thin and although I’m always striving for unattainable perfection, I’m making progress I can feel proud of.
I am running to help The American Heart Association. Feel free to donate to my cause.
I hope I have inspired you and that you will be been taking a challenge of your. If you need encouragement let me know @SamIsPolished
