AskSam: “90 Days to an Improved You” Week #1
This whole thing came about because I was not feeling myself and not living up to my full potential. I had loose ends to be tied up in all areas of my life. I am a competitive and disciplined person who demands the best from myself and others, but mostly from myself. I hold myself to an entirely different standard than I do other people. I have goals and I must achieve them. Failure is not an option. I was ready for a reboot, an update and some deep spring cleaning.
The whole New Year’s resolution is what got me thinking about all of this and compelled me to take action in a very public way so that we can all do this together. As an image consultant and lifestyle expert for 15 plus years, helping other people achieve greatness and become their best self. It was time for my own revamp.
It took me about a week of preparation just to gear up for Week #1. Categories for improvement were more than just my weight. I wanted improvement in all areas. I believe in the mind body connection. How could I possibly be successful if I don’t feel good in my skin?
Step One was about getting in the right mindset
Step Two was organizing a game plan, complete with coaches, supplements, apps and objectives for weight, career and personal life. There are many new projects occurring in my career right now and they deserve my best self for optimal results!
Thanks to SayMindii, M5, Apps like My Fitness Pal, Carrot 7 Minutes in Hell, my assistant Angelica, and my man Jeffrey is Xerveo, The New York City Ballet Workout on YouTube and of course Kimberly Snyder’s Beauty Detox programs, I felt armed and supported to reach my goals. Life is short so I want to live up to my full potential while I have the chance!
Week #1
I gathered my team, made my plan and sprang into action! Thus far in seven days I have lost 2.5 pounds! Just in time for Fashion Week! Yeah! And to be honest, I lost about 3 pounds in the week leading up to Week One just getting in the mindset thinking about what I needed to do. Nobody does everything all by themselves. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. It’s ok to seek help.
While I was drinking the special Xerveo coffee, eating more salad, drinking more water and doing a bit of exercise. I have also been checking in with my dear friend Mindii for her super perky and positive brand of motivation. Even when the New Yorker in me has to brace myself for the high voltage perkiness that goes beyond the coffee I’ve been drinking. I’ve also been working with Angelica to clear out digital clutter, reorganize and streamline my operations so we can move forward and be more productive than ever! It’s an enormous amount of work but worth it. Fashion Week in NY is practically a religious holiday for those of us in the style biz. I needed to be ready! We also signed up for the annual American Heart Association Wall Street 5K. We’re getting back into shape just in time!
Hang in there and keep going! We would love to hear from you!
