At Home STD Test Kits for Women: Chlamydia

At Home STD Test Kits for Women: Chlamydia

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that can infect both men and women and children of ages. This STD can cause severe irreparable damage to the reproductive system of women. When this happens, it will be very difficult for the woman to get pregnant. In the worst cases, this STD may even lead to infertility in women if left untreated. Generally speaking, treatment for this disease is obtainable, but we all know that prevention is better than cure. You can be infected the with Chlamydia bacteria if you have oral sex, vaginal sex or anal sex with any person who already has Chlamydia. Chlamydia can also be passed from a mother to her baby.

Symptoms

Chlamydia is caused by a bacterium. In most cases, Chlamydia shows no symptoms at all. It is only evident during the later stages where you can see problems as it causes severe health issues. Some initial symptoms may include problems in urination, pain and burning sensation during urination, vaginal discharge, pain in lower abdomen, painful sex, and pain in the testicles. In women, Chlamydia infection can spread to the fallopian tubes and lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID). In the case of PID, treatment should be obtained as soon as possible, as it can result in infertility. Any sign of discomfort should be a signal for you to take the test as soon as possible if you believe you fall into the high risk group or you might have inadvertently been exposed to someone who has chlamydia. Visible discharges or foul smell from the pubic regions of your partner should be setting off big warning signs in your head. You are advised to stop all sexual activity and get this kit to test yourself.

Diagnosis

To check whether you are infected by Chlamydia or any other STDs, you can take a medical test after consulting your doctor. A medical test may include a swab test or urine test, depending on what is being tested. In fact, you can test all types of STIs by using STD test kits from the comfort of your home. At home STD test kits for women are available in the online market place at affordable prices. If you don’t want to disclose your potential health issues to outsiders or you are afraid that it might compromise your professional work life, you can use these kits in the privacy of your home or office. They are best used on a surface free other materials to ensure you get the results you desire after following the given instructions.

Treatment

Proper medical treatment is required to cure Chlamydia. However, even if you have tested positive for Chlamydia, you should almost always visit a licensed doctor to get further confirmatory testing. Once you are ascertained as having chlamydia, your doctor will prescribe antibiotics for the treatment of Chlamydia. With proper medication, you can be free from Chlamydia within 7-10 days. During treatment, you should avoid sex; otherwise Chlamydia will spread to your partner as well. Be responsible.
