Attractions4us, a leading travel trade and consumer company, was pleased to host and escort 15 Product Managers and Support Staff from Thomas Cook and Neckerman Reisen, both established tour operators from Germany. The German operators, many of them first time visitors to the Big Apple, were mesmerized at the sights and sounds of the Capital of Tourism, New York.

“We thank NYC&Co as well as NY STATE “I LOVE NY” for their tremendous efforts over the last 10 years in promoting tourism, meeting and convention business into New York City and State” said Savy Grant, CEO of Attractions4us, “to that end, we are joining that initiative by developing more rail and air tours into the city and upstate areas. Thomas Cook and other major operators are quickly learning about our cost effective tours which is why we have this contingent exploring New York”.

Through the influence of Fred Dixon, President, and Peter Katz, Senior Sales Manager, both of NYC&Co, the group barely rested while taking in everything that “the city that never sleeps” has to offer. Included in their itinerary were such classic eating establishments as Hard Rock Café, Carmine’s, Senor Frogs as well as the ultra fancy, Bateaux dinner ship, part of Spirit Cruises.

These tourists didn’t rest seeing the town. From morning to night they were treated to many of the attractions and exhibits New York has to offer including CitySightseeing Hop On Hop Off tours, and private walking tours of Times Square area operated exclusively by attractions4us. Speaking of Times Square, the representatives were treated to an ultra special private tours of all the current Discovery Center exhibits including the popular Star Wars exhibit. Walking crosstown they were also treated at Premier Exhibitions to a private showing of the King Tut exhibit, a fascinating display of the rulers and life of ancient Egypt.

Exhausted but elated, the Thomas Cook and Neckerman Reisen representatives still had time to explore the city’s great pubs and hangouts. Of special note was their visit to the St Regis, the home of the original Bloody Mary. We can’t wait until we get home to start selling these great ideas in New York the delegates were overheard saying on their way home!
