Backstage at The Drama Desk With the Winners: Glenda Jackson, Tina Fey, Tina Landau and Ethan Slater

During the award season, as journalists we interview the same people over and over. As the winners came to the press room at the Drama Desk awards, we wanted to know what made these winners humble. Their answers are inspirational. First up we talked to Outstanding Actress in a Play Glenda Jackson for Edward Albee’s Three Tall Women, Tina Fey for Outstanding Book of a Musical for Mean Girls, Tina Landau Outstanding Director for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical and Ethan Slater Outstanding Actor in a Musical For SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical.

We expect all four of these winners to also take home the Tony Award. If they do, all four will have won the Outer Critic, The Drama Desk and the Tony, for what makes them outstanding this year.
