Ben Platt Talks About His Sexuality on His New Album

The official music video for Ben Platt’s “Ease My Mind” from his debut album “Sing To Me Instead” has been released!

His other video “Bad Habit” and “Ease My Mind” are part of Platt’s full-length debut LP, “Sing To Me Instead”, due everywhere on Friday, March 29th.

Platt described the album as his exploration of love in all of its forms—romantic, friendship, familial. He is revealing the intimate details of his personal life. “I only wanted to take this leap if I was going to present every part of myself. “It’s been the first opportunity to represent my relationships and the men that I’ve loved”.

The 25-year-old told People. Platt came out as gay as a preteen and began writing songs following his departure from Dear Evan Hansen, in November 2017.

If Platt’s writing is anything like his single, “Ease My Mind”, this album is sure to be a hit.

Fans pre-ordering the LP will receive a pre-sale ticket code and exclusive first access to tickets for Platt’s upcoming US headline tour, kicking off in May and include stops in the following cities: Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta, Austin, Irving (TX), San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Platt won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance in the smash hit, Dear Evan Hansen.

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret, opera and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. She has a screenplay and a TV show in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
