They come from The Green Room 42, Feinstein’s/ 54 Below, Birdland Jazz, The Triad and The Town Hall. Our best list for Cabaret in alphabetical order is.
Reeve Carney: Make no mistake, this man is a musical idiot savant. Singing on perfect pitch, playing an array of instruments and taking melodies to really interesting places, watching Carney was like being in musical nirvana.
Spencer Day: Star Search finalist and dreamy crooner, Spencer Day is an amazing songwriter. This is a talent to watch for his jazz, classical, country and German cabaret inspired material.
Linda Eder: Eder wows the audience with her powerful vocals and connection to lyric. She can sing the phone book and make it sound layered and textured. The consulate singer.
Capathia Jenkins & Louis Rosen “PHENOMENAL WOMAN: The Maya Angelou Songs”: Had I not been on such a high from seeing this concert, I would have died. I know that sounds melodramatic, but I seriously got hit by a cab after this concert. With that being said this was my favorite concert this year!

Kea Chang sings Larry Kerchner
Hidden Treasures VI: Songs of Larry Kerchner; Produced by Sandi Durell, this fabulous night of entertainment brought the songs of Larry Kerchner to light. These songs are relevant and are definitely treasures. His music and name should be on every cabaret performers list.
Norm Lewis Nutcracker Cool: This was the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit with a phenomenal singer.
Audra McDonald With Seth Rudsky: The first in a series called Broadway @ Town Hall six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald dished about music, backstage fodder and life. Audra lent her glorious voice to select melody’s that made this one of my favorite nights this year.
Frances Ruffelle: The superbly intoxicating Frances Ruffelle easily casts a spell when she sings. Talented was in abundance, but more than that this show made you love life.
John Lloyd Young: Lights up the room like a 100 watt light bulb with his energy and charisma. Young’s best quality is his attention to lyric. He makes you feel the emotional attachment.
Mark William: Mark William is the newest star rising in the heavens of cabaret and musical theatre. I see a long and steady career for this genuine and charismatic singer.
