Last night Manhattan was full of amore. World-renowned Italian artist, Nello Petrucci, opened his breathtaking exhibit of his latest work “From Italy With Love” at the Agora Gallery.
For Nello Petrucci, his passion and love of his native homeland shines through his expressive art. From infamous movie posters to the depths of history found in Pompeii, the work is full of electrifying inspiration.
Using newspaper clippings, photographs and film posters are the starting point of a multi-layered world. His works bring collage and painting together in unique fashion.
His “captured images” are carefully crafted and placed to bring forth emotion and jolt everything from memories to passion. The resulting pieces do carry an air of freedom and spontaneity while remaining meticulously composed.
In addition to Nello Petrucci, Italian artists Rabarama, a sculptor and painter, the photographer Christiano Mazzoli, the digital artist Maurizio Zafret, Angelica Pedini, photographer and sculpture from Paolo Domenchini, were also on exhibit. All work equally contributed a great sensation for the eyes.
“From Italy with Love” is on view for a limited time. The exhibit will run June 15th through June 21st.
Next up for the artist is an exhibition in Pompeii this September. Recently he also debuted with top honors at the recent 40th Annual Artexpo, at Pier 94 in Manhattan. Contemply, the artist’s management organization and Petrucci received the “Spotlight Award” for the most impressive booth and art display at Artexpo 2018. This prestigious award toped off an exciting weekend, which included a private viewing of the 69th floor of 4 WTC which is dedicated to showcasing wall art painted by diverse street artists.
Be sure to check out the artist’s work while it is still in town.
