Big Apple Circus Launches New Season with Roaring Delights

Big Apple Circus Launches New Season with Roaring Delights

This weekend The Big Apple Circus launched their 41st season with an epic night of breathtaking performances and groundbreaking entertainment.

Celebrity guest ringmaster, Tinsley Mortimer, started off the show to roaring applause as guests gathered from all the corners of the globe to take part in the special moment.

The opening featured a roster of super hero talents that defied gravity and motion to bring blissful joy to the audience of girls, boys and adults. Every act was splendid and a perfect ticket to impress all.

Ensemble groups included Spicy Circus, created by Andréanne Quintal, whose team of performers bounced off the walls in her feisty trampoline act. The phenomenal Flying Tunizianis left the audience grasping for air during a double-wide trapeze act showcasing seven fliers and the infamous quadruple somersault by Ammed Tunizianai.

And, true to New York style, the event dujour was topped off with larger than life celebrity guests. The Real Housewives of New York cast mates were on hand as Dorinda Medley and Sonja Morgan took part in the show as Ramona Singer came to support. Additional celebrities included Coco Rocha and her family, Samantha Barks from Pretty Woman on Broadway, Constantine Maroulis from Rock of Ages, Will Roland from Be More Chill and Dear Evan Hansen and many more.

Special cocktails were curated by Pamela Wiznitzer for VIP guests, who also indulged in concessions from Chef Harris Mayer-Selinger and his team from Hospitality Made Simple.  Guests also enjoyed access to the extra special Spiegeltent with numerous Instagram-worthy moments including a lyra hoop.

Kids of all ages had a wonderful time. And, best of all a portion of the nights’ proceeds will be donated to the Al and Joyce Vidbel foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing humans and animals together in an effort to connect and heal each other.
