Blast From The Past: Eastenders

EastEnders was a British soap opera created by Julia Smith and Tony Holland which has been broadcast on BBC One since 1985. Set in Albert Square in the East End of London in the fictional borough of Walford, the program follows the stories of local residents and their families as they go about their daily lives. Two of the characters appeared at appeared at WLIW 002 (2).

Laura Savini, Michael Greco

Michael Greco became widely known for his role as Beppe Di Marco, joining the show in 1998. His character was developed as part of the show’s introduction of the Di Marco family, the majority of whom featured until all characters with the exception of Beppe and his son Joe were axed from the show in the year 2000. Greco continued to feature among various storylines until his departure in 2002.

In 1986 Pat St Clement was cast as Pat Wicks, the troublesome former prostitute and ex-wife of Pete Beale (Peter Dean). She played the character continuously since her first appearance on 12 June 1986 – just over a year after the show began.  Pat went on to become one of the soap’s longest running characters, appearing in 2,183 episodes.

Out of Town

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret, opera and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. She has a screenplay and a TV show in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog. She is a proud member of the Drama Desk and the Outer Critics Circle and was a nominator. Email:
