Update: The Halloween Parade Goes On Despite Terrorist Attack

A shooting in Manhattan killed eight people at West Street and Chambers Street, on a bike path, which is near Stuyvesant High School, at 3:15 p.m. He entered entered a bicycle path at Houston Street, smashing into a school bus at Chambers Street, shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’.

Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29 rented a Home Depot truck, which he smashed. Waving a paintball gun in one hand and a pellet gun in the other, he was shot in the abdomen by a police officer. Police are waiting for him to wake up as images of ISIS flags were found in his truck, as well as handwritten notes pledging his allegiance to the terrorist group

There were multiple ambulances, bodies littered all over. Officials said 15 were injured including a child.

Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29 Uzbekistan native has lived in the US for seven years, in New Jersey and Florida. He ran two trucking companies out of Ohio and was a Uber driver. He had  minor criminal records for traffic offenses in Missouri and Pennsylvania.

Gov. Cuomo, the FBI, including the bomb squad are now in the Manhattan.

The shooting took place blocks away from the Halloween parade. There is an alert for a follow-up attack.

The incident is being investigated as a possible terrorist attack.

  2. I’m shaking. That’s the corner I was supposed to have my coffee but my dog pulled me into the park half a block away 10 min before shooting.

Witness: car hit people on West St bike lane, then crashed into school bus. Then driver started shooting. Cops: at least 4 hurt
