Getting to Shimla via Chandigarh is one of the most favoured car ride routes. Why, you ask? While getting to Shimla from Delhi takes roughly 08 to 09 hours. January to the first week of February or so, you will find it snowing in Shimla to amplify the beauty of this place. If you intend to actually chase the snow, you may also go a bit higher on the hilly terrain, probably to Rohtang.
Shimla’s winter carnival offers some amazing activities like skiing, paragliding, heli-skiing so you can play in the snow to your heart’s content. The best remedy in Shimla is to take long walks on those roads filled with trees and great views of the hills. If you’re still looking for more snow, then you can take a drive to Kufri and come back to Shimla in a few hours. What else? Go shopping at the Mall road or Lakkar Bazar and get a souvenir for your friends who missed out on your trip to the queen of the hills!
