Demystifying Spa Week: Hydrafacial From Just Melt

Demystifying Spa Week: Hydrafacial From Just Melt
Just Melt
With Spa Week happening October 15 – 21, you can indulge in amazing treatments for just $50. When seeing all the spa’s and the treatments that you can pamper yourself with most people become like deer in headlights and miss out on some incredible deals. T2c is breaking down some of that indecision.
Just Melt
First up is JustMelt®, a technologically advanced medspa in the heart of Manhattan. This spa caters to both men and women as they blend in a scientific approach. For Spa Week they are offering the following all for $50:
Just Melt
Hydrafacial: Hydrates your skin with a Hydrafacial! This treatment enhances the skin by cleansing, exfoliating, extracting, and hydrating simultaneously. This non-invasive treatment delivers instant results with no down time. Orig. $250
Venus Freeze: Freeze time and reverse aging with the venus freeze! This unique device tightens the skin and reduces wrinkles, cellulite, and circumferential fat. Orig. $199
Just Melt
50 Min Deep Tissue or Swedish Massage: Treat yourself to a deep tissue or Swedish massage! Deep tissue massage focuses on reaching deep layers of the tissue to relieve chronic muscle tension. Swedish massages involve softer techniques to treat the top layers of muscle and reduce aches and pains. Orig. $150
We decided to try the Hydrafacial.  The HydraFacial MD® treats a wide variety of skin conditions men and women encounter, without surgery and downtime. Signs of aging, loss of collagen and skin impurities can all be treated with a relaxing 30-minute HydraFacial MD® treatment.

The facial claims to build collagen, offers antioxidant infusion, tighten the skin, improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, minimizes enlarged pores, extracts impurities, treats oily or acne-prone skin, rids hyperpigmenation & brown spot, removes dead skin, cleanses, tones and hydrates.

After trying this treatment I would say it accomplishes all these things. Your skin will feel softer, more supple and you will glow and look younger.

This facial will not be what you are expecting. There is no work done around your eyes or neck. It will leave your face feeling a little sticky. I actually went home and rinsed my face off, but when I did the texture and effects of the facial were evident. It is now 3 days later and my skin still looks fantastic.

While at the spa I also noticed a product called Coolsculpting. I actually have to go back and try this on my arms. Coolsculpting is an option for fat reduction as results are similar to liposuction and the treatment is completely non-invasive. Bulges of fat such as fat on the love handles, back fat, chin fat (double chin), bra fat, outer thighs, abdomen and upper arms are often hard to get rid of with diet and exercise. Fat cells do not multiply therefore if we can successfully reduce fat cells we are able to get a more sculpted look. CoolSculpting technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen). Over time, your body naturally processes the fat, leaving a more sculpted you. This process is call Cryolipolysis®. Cryolipolysis means damaging of fat cells with the use of feezing, hence we can literally “freeze fat away” by freezing fat cells to the point of reduction without damaging any surrounding tissues such as nerves, skin and muscle. This treatment is not cheap, approximately $800 per area and you most likely will need 2 -4 treatments. With no down time and no cutting of skin this sounds like an amazing way to fix those flaws you see and want to correct.

In the meantime, the Hydrafacial will have you singing “you make me feel so young.”
