Don’t Miss The Chita Rivera Awards Sunday

The 2018 Chita Rivera Awards (formerly the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards) will be presented tomorrow night May 20 at a ceremony at the NYU Skirball Center. During the ceremony, Carmen De Lavallade, John Kander, and Harold Prince will receive special honors. The awards, named after stage legend Rivera—who is set to receive an honorary Lifetime Achievement at the Theatre Tony Award this year. The awards honor choreographers and dancers on Broadway and Off-Broadway stages, as well as in film.

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret, opera and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. She has a screenplay and a TV show in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
