This past week a fantastic event took place on the Upper East Side to celebrate the creativity of the neighborhood and its lovely mix of galleries, restaurants and shops.

The Design on Lex block party brought together the best of the zip code for a fun night. The ultimate street party for design lovers stretched from 65th Street to 75th Street along Lexington Avenue. Each participating gallery, florist, restaurant and boutique hosted their own attractions, special guests, and product launches.

Steering Committee included Nina Campbell, Rita Konig, David Kleinberg, Newell Turner Kendell Cronstrom, David Sprouls, Jamie Creel Christopher Gow, Marin Hopper, John Goldstone , Anthony Martignetti Tom Martignetti , Chesie Breen, Ellen Niven, Chris Meigher Jack Lynch, Annette Gallo and Nalo McGibbon.

Participants were Peipers and Kojen, Bella Figura, Bandier, Gallery 71, Mecox, MZ Wallace, Shari’s and Plaza Flowers.
A portion of proceeds from the evening’s sales will benefit The New York School of Interior Design Centennial Scholarship Fund. Gifting for guests was provided by Hayward House.
