The Hudson River Park Friends Playground Committee is a group of accomplished parents who work to gather support from the local community for play areas, sports fields, free public events and environmental and educational programs. Since the Playground Committee’s inception in 2012, they have raised $5.5 M for the Park.

Currently they are raising much needed funds to develop a new one-of-a-kind marine science play area. The 4,000 square foot Pier 26 Science Play Area will be the fifth play area at Hudson River Park.
