Summer is here and so many hot happenings are going on.

For brides to be, Kleinfeld exclusive designer- and TLC “Say Yes to the Dress” star Pnina Tornai is giving budget-conscious brides A-List treatment with the launch of her first diffusion wedding dress collection, LOVE, debuting at Kleinfeld on June 1st, 2016 with an exclusive trunk show.

The LOVE Collection allows Tornai to reach more brides than ever before by offering a more affordable collection which includes her signature form fitting mermaids and figure flattering corsetry. Known for her sexy sheaths, fantasy ball gowns and Swarovski crystal embellishments, the LOVE collection offers the elegant extravagance that is Tornai’s signature— at a lower price point.

For fitness lovers, Healthy Guru the inaugural fitness, fashion and beauty event of the summer presented by Social Life and SHAPE Magazine on Saturday, July 9th at the Southampton Arts Center (25 Jobs Lane, Southampton). The daylong event will have a combination of fitness, fashion, beauty and nutrition. A meet and great with Veronica Webb and Jen Selter will kick off the event followed by a selection of fitness classes from 9AM-3PM. Guests will receive gift bags after each class session. Snacks, protein bars and smoothies will be available as well.

This event will also feature product vendors from Rodan +Fields, Essentia water, Phat Buddawear, Beauty Blow Bar and many more. A beauty bar will be set up for guests to try different makeup brands and speak with doctors about the latest cosmetic procedures. Chiropractors, massage therapists, as well as healthy influencers will be on-site for guests to speak with. Additionally there will be a “Healthy Guru” panel that will feature health and fitness guest speakers. Finally, the event will close with a Health Guru cocktail party and a fashion show by JUJA Active from 5PM-8PM. Tickets are $40 and proceeds will benefit the Southampton Arts Center. For a fun foodie weekend,The creators of the highly-acclaimed Bacon and Beer Classic are at it again. Cannonball Productions will introduce a new, all-inclusive food and beverage festival, Whiskey Fried, at Brooklyn Expo Center on Saturday, July 9th.

Classy meets greasy at this mid-summer extravaganza, which will pair 100+ whiskies and handcrafted cocktails with fried and Southern-inspired dishes from 20+ NYC restaurants. Guests can look forward to unlimited bites and sips from local favorites like Bareburger, Jacob’s Pickles, Sweet Chili, Burnside Biscuits and The Donutologist, in addition to live music, horseshoes, a barber bar, photo booth and more. A panel of judges will also be on site to rate the sips and tastes and award winners in select categories. The panel includes Daily Beast’s Chief Cocktail Correspondent and the author of The Art of American Whiskey, Noah Rothbaum; Yelp Manhattan’s Community Director Ruggy Joesten; author of Bourbon Empire: The Past and Future of America’s Whiskey, Reid Mitenbuler; and Flatiron Room Beverage Director Young Kim.

Guests can choose from two all-inclusive sessions: afternoon (1:30pm-4pm) or evening (6:30pm-9pm). VIP ticket holders will enjoy half hour early entrance; access to the specialty Prohibition lounge; samples of rare, top shelf spirits; and a digital event bag. General Admission tickets are $85 and VIP tickets are selling at $125, but prices will increase over the next few weeks. All tickets include a souvenir tasting glass.

A nationally-touring event, Whiskey Fried is coming soon to Chicago, Denver, Seattle and Silicon Valley. Cannonball Productions is committed to making the festival personal to each city, and will partner with regional organizations and local food recovery programs to donate leftover food. And more in the the charity world – Allergan plc and Medicines360 announced this summer that they will donate 10,000 units of their hormonal IUD, LILETTA to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control Foundation. In addition, Allergan will donate over 40,000 one-month cycle packs of oral contraceptives. The contributions are in response to the outbreak of the Zika virus and are designed to help reduce unintended pregnancies in Puerto Rico, while the risk of the Zika virus is out there.

And for film buffs, Red Zeppelin Productions is hosting a special advance screening of TRI at the DGA New York Theater on Friday, June 3rd at 3:00PM. TRI is an inspiring, emotionally-charged drama about a medical technician with a history of not finishing things who is inspired by a cancer patient to sign up for her first triathlon.
