Hudson River Park extends from Chambers St. to 59th St. along Manhattan’s west side, and is the longest riverfront park in the nation. The Park plays a critical role in protecting the Hudson River ecosystem and receives no government operating funds. Its development has transformed four+ miles of decaying piers and parking lots into a premier New York City destination for millions of visitors. The non-profit, Hudson River Park Friends  helps to ensure the Park’s future by serving as its primary fundraising partner and public advocate.  Friends works in concert with the Hudson River Park Trust, the government entity that oversees Park design, construction, operations and maintenance.
