Sarah Parnicky is gaining notice as a young leading lady “in an impressive Off-Broadway debut” originating Susanna/Sister Mary Jo in the New World Stages production of Desperate Measures (Drama Desk, Outer Critics, Off-Broadway Alliance Winner). Sarah is an actor and soprano passionate about creating new classics and reimagining beloved favorites for today’s audience.

Since moving to New York City Sarah has worked on projects with several industry leaders. She portrayed Billie in Kathleen Marshall’s Nice Work...on tour TV shoot, performed the Sun in When Women Become Sea with Robert O’Hara and Alaine Alldaffer, and read roles in development including Jeanine Tesori’s The Lion, The Unicorn & Me (Glimmerglass Festival), Dear Erich a Jazz Opera by Ted Rosenthal, and Wilde Tales (Glimmerglass Festival) by acclaimed film composer Laura Karpman.
Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret, opera and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. She has a screenplay and a TV show in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
