Great Hotel Rooftops in the US with a View

Great Hotel Rooftops in the US with a View

When you’re staying at a hotel in a beautiful city, take it to the next level by finding a hotel that takes advantage of that view! There are hotels all over the United States that feature rooftop bars, pools, and clubs that offer stunning a perspective of the city around you. These one-of-a-kind rooftops provide great views of the city that you’re traveling in and have incredible designs that will make you want to snap picture after picture.

Here are a few hotel rooftops that you should take advantage of if you find yourself searching for hotels in these cities.

SkyBar, Mondrian, Los Angeles

The SkyBar rooftop pool at the Mondrian in Los Angeles is not just a beautiful view of the city around you, but it has a stunning modern design. You’ll most likely find yourself taking just as many pictures of the pool and lounge area as you will of the view.

There are cozy chairs, pillows, and loungers all over the pool deck for sun-bathing. Greenery drips from the walls around the pool area. The outside walls have enormous windows that offer a peak of the city around you. The windows are set a foot or two into the wall so that you can curl up in them and take in the view or relax and enjoy a book or magazine.

When you’re able to finally tear yourself away from the view, you can walk over to the bar and grab a refreshing cocktail. Take advantage of the beautiful lounge area and you soak up some sun.

When night falls, this rooftop turns into a nightclub. Different DJs are booked to perform almost every night. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to take part in these events, so swing by and make SkyBar a part of your LA experience.

Apogee Lounge, Dana Hotel, Chicago

There is a great selection of rooftop hotels in Chicago. One of my favorites is the Apogee Lounge in the Dana Hotel. This bar isn’t just about a great view of the city, they are master mixologists. Whether you’re there for the view or you’re there for the drinks, you will not be disappointed.

You won’t know what to stare at: the view of the city, the whimsical, garden-inspired design, the beautiful and creative drink presentation? This is one of the most beautiful rooftops hotels in the US, maybe even the world. If you have the means, treat yourself to this amazing experience.

Drai’s, Cromwell, Las Vegas

Drai’s in the Cromwell is a pool, it’s a bar, it’s a night club, it’s a lounge. Drai’s is what elevates Cromwell to the next level. And with a view of the strip, you’d be crazy not to take advantage of this rooftop if you’re staying in Las Vegas.

This rooftop is an enormous 30,000 square feet. There are multiple levels to lounge and sunbathe on, with private rooms to take advantage of if you’re looking for a more private experience. There are several different pools on the deck area so that you.

When the sun sets, take advantage of the night club. The view of Las Vegas at night is even more stunning than the view during the day. With all that Drai’s has to offer, you could spend an entire day here, beginning to end. This rooftop is the epitome of Las Vegas glamour.

View Lounge, Marriot Marquis, San Francisco

A rooftop bar appropriately called View Lounge in Marriot Marquis has one of the best views, day and night, of San Francisco. It is newly renovated with humongous, domed, floor-to-ceiling windows that give an unparalleled panoramic view of the San Francisco.

This lounge has the feel of an expensive study, with rich colors, leather couches, and dark wood accents. It’s extremely classy. This isn’t a bar to party in, it’s a place to have conversations over 20-year-old scotch while you take in the beautiful view. This is a great location for trips that are either business or pleasure.

The next time you travel, take a look at the rooftop hotels in that area before you book. It could be the difference between a business-as-usual trip and an experience that you will remember for a lifetime.
