Happy Chanukah From T2C With Eight Days Of Light

Tonight starts the first night of Chanukah and to celebrate a new piece by Judith Clurman and David Chase has come out. The premiere recording on the Acis Label has been released, Rejoice! Honoring the Jewish Spirit with Judith Clurman conducting Essential Voices USA.

Judith Clurman commissioned theater composers to create and arrange Jewish music, including new pieces and arrangements by David Chase, Judith Clurman, Jeremiah Klarman, and Ryan Nowlin, and Jonathan Tunick.  A forgotten arrangement by Broadway giant Trude Rittmann is included, as well an arrangement of a beloved folk song by Mikhail Lermontov and Abraham Goldfaden, and a Chanukah piece by David Shire and Sheldon Harnick.

Published by Hal Leonard the song “Eight Days of Light” was recently performed by The National Symphony Orchestra @ The Kennedy Center and The New York Pops @ Carnegie Hall.

She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. She has a screenplay and a TV show in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
