Happy Passover and A Restaurant to Celebrate In

Passover bears images of wonderful traditional Seder meals commemorating Jews’ exodus from Egypt. And this year, Green Fig is kicking off the celebration with a special Passover menu perfect for family and friends gathering together for this annual holiday meal.

Israeli-born chef Yuval Litmanovich has curated an exquisite three-course prix-fixe Passover menu for $49 per person available at Green Fig on April 19th and April 20th from 5PM to close. The meal begins with a choice of appetizer such as Chopped Liver with homemade pickles and horseradish; Gramma’s Chicken Soup with matzo balls; or Baked Beet Salad with fresh mozzarella and orange vinaigrette. The entrée round includes delectable dishes like Six Hour Short Ribs on Passover spaetzle with green pepper relish and jus; Branzino in a spicy tomato sauce with marbled potatoes; or Matzo Brei featuring an eggplant and caper stew with ricotta. The meal will close with dessert options like Matzo Layered Cake with ganache, walnuts, and homemade marmalade; Banana-Matzo Pudding with peach-vanilla anglaise and raspberry; and Brie Cheese with matzo, grapes, and honey.

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. Currently she has a screenplay in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
