How to Bring More Fun into Your Everyday Life

Fun might sound like a luxury, butit is actuallya health imperative. Without it chronic stress can build, wreaking havoc on both your physical and mental health over time. Physically it will lower your immune system, can cause tension, pain, and headaches. Mentally, however, is where the true danger lies.

Almost half of employees in India suffer from either an anxiety disorder or clinical depression. This affects quality of life, productivity, and of course job security. It is a national health issue that is not being addressed nearly enough. Our workers face workweeks of 48-50 hours – ten or less than western nations – and are significantly under paid in comparison. In fact,Indian workers make six times less than Americans do and that is even when you take costof living into consideration.

It’s hard to have fun when you are too stressed to think of anything but what is causing it, but with the right routines and know-how, you can accomplish it. Start first by improving your sleep cycle. Go to bed early and wake up at the same time every day. Try to get at least eight hours of sleep, and tweak this routine as you need to. Some people might benefit from a bath before bed, others reading. Either way, find the right steps so that every night you can have a deep, and restful sleep.

Follow this up with a healthy breakfast, and try to pack a substantial meal for lunch. This could be done by prepping your meals in advance ahead of the week if needs be. By boosting your baseline health,your body can operate at maximum capacity. Do this first, and all your other fun-boosting strategies will pay off.

Take Good Breaks

By boosting your health, you can reduce stress automatically. After all, a good night’s rest is often exactly what the doctor ordered. Mental fatigue, however, can occur whether you are tired or not. It depends entirely on how varied your work day is. If you tend to do the same thing throughout the day, then your breaks will have to be your saving grace.
