I Heart Eyewear Makes You Love Having To Wear Glasses

There is no way around it, after a certain age you need glasses to read. When that happens, first you think you are going blind, then you become terribly self conscious. Reading is no longer a joy, fashion becomes garbled because you now need a new accessory that you were not expecting. Of course there was the film “The Secretary,” which made the glasses look hot, but seriously not when you are in a meeting and you need to be taken professionally. So you head down to your local pharmacy to buy your first readers and they are awkward, heavy and leave marks on your face. They also cost $30.00 and break every two seconds. Then you realize that the dollar and discount stores have the same glasses for about $5.00. If you are cash rich, you buy designer labels to feel better, but the fact is they are still awkward, heavy and leave marks on your face. Oh and I forgot, bend over and they will be sliding across the room. Embarrassing!

At the New York Now Show, thanks to Tony I was dragged into a booth with readers and glasses. Since I was already not thrilled with the products on the market, I did’t expect to be impressed by I Heart Eyewear, a company I had never heard of before.

To begin with these frames are designed with inspiration and are amazingly detailed. They are colorful and eye catching. I Heart Eyewear readers are made from Zyl (a durable plastic),  have Aspheric lenses (these lenses allow for crisper vision with less distortion) and have AR coating which improves vision, reduces eye strain and makes your eyeglasses more attractive. Normally glasses leave a mark on my nose, with I Heart Eyewear they sit higher allowing the glasses to be closer to my eyes and viola…no more ugly mark.

Fabulous sunglass readers that allow you to see

Another thing I noticed was I needed a lower power. It turns out those glasses in pharmacies and discount stores do not always have accurate powers marked on them. I was getting headaches and this could be why.

These glasses feel like you almost have nothing on. I Heart Eyewear glasses are super comfortable. My favorite are called the Neck Hanging. They have long temples and can hang around your neck without those chains that look like your Grandmother. As much as we love our Grandmothers we do not want to dress like them and if we are Grandmothers we want to be hip and youthful. Also you can shake your head all around or even do yoga and they still stay on your face.   Fall asleep with your glasses and they are sure to break, not with the Bendz readers which are made from TR-90, a material known for being lightweight, durable and very flexible.

The coolest of all these glasses are the reader  sunglasses. Fashion forward, lightweight and with maximum UVA/UVB protection. These look like designer frames that I would be willing to spend money on, but thankfully I do not need to with I Heart Eyewear. These glasses are retailing for about $20.00 a pair. An added plus is they all come with cool cases.

I Heart Eyewear is based in Livermore, CA.  It is the sister company of Ron’s Optical which has been in the optical accessory business for over 40 years selling to the optical trade.  Six years ago, I Heart Eyewear was started with its focus on offering fashion forward, diverse styling and quality eyewear at a reasonable price to the retail trade. They specialize in reading glasses, sunglasses/sunglass readers, eyeglass chains and boutique eyewear cases along with several other niche products. Melissa Scoppettone, President of I Heart Eyewear, feels very passionate about eyewear reflecting the personality of the individual wearing it.  Their product reflects that outlook.

To find the products I mentioned click here and in the search engine type in either Bendz or Neck Hanging. You are sure to love these. I already do!
