Insane Drive Mows Down New York Police Officer in Times Square

New York City Alerts@NYCityAlerts DRAMATIC VIDEO: NYPD Officer being dragged by by a black 4 door sedan earlier today in time square during a traffic stop. Cop suffered injuries to his legs and back.

The video shows a driver of a black Mercedes-Benz with a New York tags speeding down 7th Avenue. He stops right outside the NYPD substation at 43rd Street. A cop motions for the driver to stop, but the driver swerves trying to miss the officer but he stands his ground. Swerving left, the officer, is thrown to the ground as the car speeds away.

The officer gets up and chases the car in hot pursuit, drawing his gun, along with another officer.

A witness followed the officers shooting the video, before the first officer’s injuries took him down. .

He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital with minor injuries to his back and legs, but is expected to make a full recovery.

No arrests have been made and the search continues for the driver.
