What is TikTok without the audience? Streaming wars have been looking at some big obstacles and AI is also a concern. Now individual rights seem to be getting more compromised.
Several countries are raising in alarm among TikTok influencers who rely on the platform to create and share engaging content with their followers. This applies to a bunch of folks in different industries.
On March 23, Shou Chew, CEO of TikTok, was interrogated by the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He provided a five-hour testimony stating that TikTok is taking every precaution to safeguard teens, protect US user data from foreign access, and be as transparent as possible in concern to third-party monitors.
Despite Chew’s assurances, most countries are still not convinced. India banned TikTok in 2020, and most other countries — including the US — have prohibited their government officials from having TikTok on their cell phones. Montana legislatures recently approved a bill to block TikTok in the state.
With the possibility of a TikTok ban looming, many are wondering what impact this will have on industries and the education of millions of viewers who have come to rely on TikTok for informative and entertaining content. Among these influencers are registered dental hygienists, who have taken to the app to share important information on maintaining a healthy mouth and body.
Despite the continuous uncertainty of banning TikTok in the US or not, top influencers are staying optimistic. It’s a source of income for many. According to one social media management firm, “37 percent of TikTok users in the US earn $100,000 or more yearly.”
TikTok has become a powerful platform for education, with countless individuals and organizations using it to share information and promote learning. For registered dental hygienists like Corina Layton, it has been an invaluable tool for raising awareness about the importance of oral health. Through short, engaging videos, dental hygienists have been able to reach millions of viewers, many of whom may not have been exposed to this information otherwise.
“I started to pursue social media on a serious level when I realized there was a huge lack of dental knowledge in the general population,” says Layton. “Those were the videos that took off, and I continued to create that type of content in hopes to educate.”

“We always look for the opportunities that will provide us with an authentic partnership, and this one is a perfect fit,” said Inter Miami CF Chief Business Officer, Xavier Asensi. “This partnership makes total sense for all of us: two local brands with global audiences and huge ambitions.”
“Royal Caribbean and Inter Miami have won the hearts and minds of fans from around the world,” said Kara Wallace, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Royal Caribbean International. “Together as partners, the possibilities to reach more dreamers and adventurers are exponential from ship to pitch, especially as we look forward to the arrival of the new Icon of the Seas to Miami.”

The Rallymaster II Celebrated at US Open Soiree in New York
The launch party of the Rallymaster II scored big this week in New York City.
On August 25, guests gathered at Radio Park atop Rockefeller Center for a delightful day of sport and fashion that paid tribute to the tennis inspired wristwatch collaboration.
Leonard Dreifuss, COO of Maurice de Mauriac was on site for the second edition of the Rallymaster and collaboration with Racquet and Carlton DeWoody. The creative best known for interior design has colorfully mastered the second edition of the Rallymaster which draws inspiration from watch dials of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Last year, Maurice de Mauriac and Racquet connected with DeWoody for the first iteration of the Rallymaster, and an edition of 40 sold out in just a few hours.
The limited production timepiece features a new ice blue dial, pairing classic vintage details with modern tennis world cues. The pre-sale window is open for the duration of the U.S. Open tennis tournament: launching August 28th and closing September 10th.
Zurich-based watch brand Maurice de Mauriac is known for its exclusive mechanical watch designs and has been associated with tennis for almost two decades, starting as the official timekeeper of the ATP Tour event in Gstaad and having been associated with tennis champions — from charismatic WTA star Andrea Petkovic to French cult player Benoit Paire, besides creating a dedicated timepiece with legendary Stan Smith. Maurice de Mauriac’s collections have set themselves apart by pairing sportiness and luxury with quality Swiss craftsmanship. Run by the Dreifuss family, who operate the brand with an independent spirit, their colorful personalities and unique styles come through vividly at the company’s atelier in Zurich.
“The rise of watch culture parallels that of tennis in many ways. Both are growing a much wider audience. Maurice de Mauriac is the perfect partner for Racquet because they have a similar philosophy. Their watches and Racquet’s magazine speak to a new generation of sporty sophisticates,” says Carlton DeWoody.

Serena Williams and Lincoln Unveil ‘Letting Go’
Lincoln has just unveiled its latest Navigator campaign – Letting Go – with longtime ambassador and owner Serena Williams. The campaign features the brand’s flagship full-size SUV and focuses on the ease provided by Lincoln BlueCruise, the brand’s advanced hands-free driver assist technology for highway driving.
Available in the Navigator, Lincoln BlueCruise adds a new level of convenience for drivers. Signature blue light cues appear on the digital cluster and head-up display to indicate when the system’s advanced camera and radar are activated, enabling drivers to operate the Navigator hands-free on prequalified sections of divided highways. A driver-facing camera in the instrument cluster monitors eye gaze and head position to help ensure a driver’s eyes stay on the road.
In Letting Go, we see a pregnant Williams standing next to a Lincoln Navigator on a beach. As she looks out to the ocean, she appears to be imagining a moment back in time, and we make the connection that she’s imagining herself as a young girl receiving a lesson from an instructor on how to float on her back, learning to trust the buoyancy of the ocean for the first time. Serena is now behind the wheel of her vehicle, and engages Lincoln BlueCruise, releasing her hands from the steering wheel just as the instructor’s hand leaves hers as a young girl. We not only get a sense of the trust we place in Lincoln BlueCruise, but the freedom it conveys, as we see the vehicle drive along a bridge over water at dusk.
Williams just gave birth, so the campaign is a beautiful tribute as well to her new family. Here is to the beauty of life and Lincoln.

Elevate Your Smoking Experience with Pre-Rolled Blunts
The legalization of medical cannabis was a long road, taking nearly two decades for all US states (1996 – 2016). However, its recreational use is currently legal in 23 states only.
Though joints and cones are highly popular, some occasions call for a more luxurious and rich smoking experience. This is why cannabis blunts are available in the market. Keep reading to understand how they can take your smoking experience to the next level.
1. A Stronger High
The most obvious benefit of pre-rolled blunts is that they are larger and accommodate more cannabis buds (5x a joint). The 5x effect ensures a stronger high – something which people refer to as a “kick or a buzz.” Blunts are designed to celebrate and lose yourself in the moment.
2. Ideal for Large Gatherings
What could be better than enjoying a solo cannabis smoking session? Enjoying it with fellow marijuana connoisseurs. Blunts have a slow burn time due to their thicker tobacco leaf paper compared to standard rolling paper. This makes them perfect for being passed around in special gatherings involving more than four people.
3. Richer and Smoother Experience
According to Custom Cones USA, blunts have a richer flavor (because of more marijuana), and they deliver smoother smoke. This has to do with the fact that blunts burn much more slowly than joints. It also means that you’re able to absorb the Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) at a more relaxed pace.
Statista found in a 2021 study that 16% of Americans smoke marijuana. Under some state laws, it is even legal to treat certain health conditions with cannabis.
Low dosages of the drug can help relieve anxiety, nausea, and epileptic seizures. Even recreational use produces a heightened sense of happiness and relaxation. With pre-rolled blunts that enhance odor, taste, and smoking high, the experience is only bound to get better.
