What is TikTok without the audience? Streaming wars have been looking at some big obstacles and AI is also a concern. Now individual rights seem to be getting more compromised.
Several countries are raising in alarm among TikTok influencers who rely on the platform to create and share engaging content with their followers. This applies to a bunch of folks in different industries.
On March 23, Shou Chew, CEO of TikTok, was interrogated by the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He provided a five-hour testimony stating that TikTok is taking every precaution to safeguard teens, protect US user data from foreign access, and be as transparent as possible in concern to third-party monitors.
Despite Chew’s assurances, most countries are still not convinced. India banned TikTok in 2020, and most other countries — including the US — have prohibited their government officials from having TikTok on their cell phones. Montana legislatures recently approved a bill to block TikTok in the state.
With the possibility of a TikTok ban looming, many are wondering what impact this will have on industries and the education of millions of viewers who have come to rely on TikTok for informative and entertaining content. Among these influencers are registered dental hygienists, who have taken to the app to share important information on maintaining a healthy mouth and body.
Despite the continuous uncertainty of banning TikTok in the US or not, top influencers are staying optimistic. It’s a source of income for many. According to one social media management firm, “37 percent of TikTok users in the US earn $100,000 or more yearly.”
TikTok has become a powerful platform for education, with countless individuals and organizations using it to share information and promote learning. For registered dental hygienists like Corina Layton, it has been an invaluable tool for raising awareness about the importance of oral health. Through short, engaging videos, dental hygienists have been able to reach millions of viewers, many of whom may not have been exposed to this information otherwise.
“I started to pursue social media on a serious level when I realized there was a huge lack of dental knowledge in the general population,” says Layton. “Those were the videos that took off, and I continued to create that type of content in hopes to educate.”

Royal Caribbean International and Inter Miami CF have joined forces in an unprecedented, multiyear partnership that will combine the passion and commitment of the respective powerhouses in vacations and sports.
Royal Caribbean will become the Club’s Main Partner and Official Vacation Partner. The world’s largest cruise line and Inter Miami kicked off the first phase of their partnership in a bold way by officially welcoming global fútbol icons and their families to Miami in July. The highly anticipated unveiling event, La Presentación, marked the start of a new era, where the “Freedom to Dream” took center stage in a sold-out DRV PNK Stadium.

The Rallymaster II Celebrated at US Open Soiree in New York

The launch party of the Rallymaster II scored big this week in New York City.
On August 25, guests gathered at Radio Park atop Rockefeller Center for a delightful day of sport and fashion that paid tribute to the tennis inspired wristwatch collaboration.
Leonard Dreifuss, COO of Maurice de Mauriac was on site for the second edition of the Rallymaster and collaboration with Racquet and Carlton DeWoody. The creative best known for interior design has colorfully mastered the second edition of the Rallymaster which draws inspiration from watch dials of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Last year, Maurice de Mauriac and Racquet connected with DeWoody for the first iteration of the Rallymaster, and an edition of 40 sold out in just a few hours.
The limited production timepiece features a new ice blue dial, pairing classic vintage details with modern tennis world cues. The pre-sale window is open for the duration of the U.S. Open tennis tournament: launching August 28th and closing September 10th.

Serena Williams and Lincoln Unveil ‘Letting Go’

Lincoln has just unveiled its latest Navigator campaign – Letting Go – with longtime ambassador and owner Serena Williams. The campaign features the brand’s flagship full-size SUV and focuses on the ease provided by Lincoln BlueCruise, the brand’s advanced hands-free driver assist technology for highway driving.
Available in the Navigator, Lincoln BlueCruise adds a new level of convenience for drivers. Signature blue light cues appear on the digital cluster and head-up display to indicate when the system’s advanced camera and radar are activated, enabling drivers to operate the Navigator hands-free on prequalified sections of divided highways. A driver-facing camera in the instrument cluster monitors eye gaze and head position to help ensure a driver’s eyes stay on the road.
In Letting Go, we see a pregnant Williams standing next to a Lincoln Navigator on a beach. As she looks out to the ocean, she appears to be imagining a moment back in time, and we make the connection that she’s imagining herself as a young girl receiving a lesson from an instructor on how to float on her back, learning to trust the buoyancy of the ocean for the first time. Serena is now behind the wheel of her vehicle, and engages Lincoln BlueCruise, releasing her hands from the steering wheel just as the instructor’s hand leaves hers as a young girl. We not only get a sense of the trust we place in Lincoln BlueCruise, but the freedom it conveys, as we see the vehicle drive along a bridge over water at dusk.
Williams just gave birth, so the campaign is a beautiful tribute as well to her new family. Here is to the beauty of life and Lincoln.
