Iris Apfel may not know what and emojis is but she has her own set thanks to Macy’s. Apfel is currently the face of Macy’s in-house brand INC, and the emojis are a part of that campaign. They also come just in time for her 95th birthday, on August 29th.
“I’m a little old for emojis, and I didn’t know what they were, but everyone seems to like them, and I want everyone to have a good time. If my face makes people happy, I’m all for it,” ” Apfel stated in a press release. ”
The emojis are a mix of Apfel emoticons and fashionista must-haves and they are a hoot.
This isn’t her first foray into 21st century tech; earlier this year, Apfel partnered with WiseWear to create a line of wearable fitness & health trackers.
Apfel, has been the interior designer for the White House under nine presidents, she is a fashion icon and sparkles in Albert Maysles Penultimate Documentary, ‘Iris,’ on POV.
